Everipedia Opens European Office to Increase Worldwide Accessibility

STOCKHOLM, Oct. 4, 2018 /CNW/ -- Everipedia, the world's largest encyclopedia built on blockchain technology, today announced the opening of its first European office, based in Stockholm, Sweden.

Everipedia's European office is now open in the Östermalm district of Stockholm, Sweden.

Everipedia's "IQ" token, used to reward Everipedia users for curating and editing articles, is now the largest project on the EOS blockchain. As Everipedia expands its global footprint both geographically and technologically, users have staked 73 million IQ tokens in the network in order to create, edit and vote on the encyclopedia articles.

The company announced its opening of a second office in the Östermalm district of Stockholm in order to grow European traffic and community, and to be more accessible to users worldwide. The opening of this new office marks a milestone in Everipedia's mission to decentralize the global knowledge economy. Additionally, Sweden is home to Everipedia's co-founder and CEO Theodor Forselius.

"I'm proud to announce the expansion of Everipedia's global footprint in my home country as we further our commitment to disrupting the world's knowledge economy," Everipedia co-founder and CEO Theodor Forselius said.

This announcement comes on the heels of Everipedia's August network launch announcement, unveiling the company's new platform using blockchain technology to reward users with "IQ" tokens for curating and editing articles. Furthermore, the decentralized nature of how Everipedia stores articles using blockchain technology makes the network essentially impervious to censorship attempts worldwide.

"As our editorship and number of articles grows, so must our corporate presence," said Everipedia Co-Founder and President Sam Kazemian. "We have very aggressive goals we're trying to meet and to do so we must expand globally."

To begin creating content and voting on the new network, users may visit everipedia.org. No user registration is required and only an EOS account and IQ tokens are needed to interact with the protocol.
