CareMetx, LLC Acquires BioSolutia, Award-Winning Patient Services Provider

BETHESDA, Md., Oct. 3, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- CareMetx, LLC, a technology-enabled hub services company for pharmaceutical and biotechnology manufacturers announced they have acquired BioSolutia, an award-winning hub services provider based in Lake Mary, FL. The transaction reunites former colleagues.

"This is more than a consolidation of two like-minded companies," said Mark Hansan, President and CEO of CareMetx. "We have a history with BioSolutia's founders. Dan Desmarais was a key player in the success of our previous company, TheraCom which led us to our initial acquisition by AdvancePCS. Jim Long was part of that AdvancePCS acquisition team in 2001. Due to the success of that combined company, it was then acquired by Caremark."

Dan Desmarais and Jim Long, Principals and Co-founders of BioSolutia will take on leadership roles for CareMetx.

"This transaction is a win-win for our two companies," Desmarais stated. "It is a perfect combination of very complementary cutting-edge technology with award-winning patient services."

"BioSolutia and CareMetx have the same patient-focused culture of excellence" Long said. "The last transaction I had with this team, I was on the  acquiring side. Roles are now reversed and I couldn't be more pleased to be part of reassembling the core management team."

BioSolutia will operate under the CareMetx name. The Lake Mary, Florida facility adds a third hub operation to CareMetx's Bethesda, Maryland and Oakland, California offices.

"With the addition of Dan and Jim, CareMetx's team of seasoned hub services executives rounds out our expertise in the industry and expands our bandwidth for our manufacturer clients," said Hansan.
