First Presbyterian Church of Fort Lauderdale Offering Christian Education This Summer with Vacation Bible School


FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., July 19, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- School is out and First Presbyterian Church of Fort Lauderdale wants to help keep youth engaged and learning until they get back to their desks in the fall. As part of its stellar summer programming, the church is once again hosting its popular Vacation Bible School from August 6-10, 2018.

"Each year, our Vacation Bible School offers Christian education with an exciting theme for our kids," said Cindy Vason, Director of the Children's Ministry at First Presbyterian Church of Fort Lauderdale. "Children are so important to our congregation, and we want to make sure they are being offered a wonderful experience while growing in their faith."

The First Pres Vacation Bible School, which is themed "Rolling River Rampage" this year, will allow children to learn about the Lord's greatness through epic adventures and Bible stories for five days with mission activities, creative crafts, exciting science and more. A half-day program is available for youth ages Pre-K to fifth grade from 9 a.m. ? noon, and a full-day program is available to youth in Pre-K to fifth grade from 9 a.m. ? 5 p.m.

Children will discover:

Day 1: Jesus Call the Disciples (Matthew 4:18-25)

Day 2: Jesus Accepts Mary and Martha (Luke 10:38-42)

Day 3: Jesus Walks with Zacchaeus (Luke 19:1-10)

Day 4: Jesus Shares a Special Meal (Luke 22:14-20)

Day 5: Jesus Makes a Promise (Matthew 28:16-20)

Registration for Vacation Bible School is now open. The half-day program costs $75 for both members and non-members. The full-day program costs $250.
