WASHINGTON, July 9, 2018 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The following statement was issued by Dan Stein, president of the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), regarding the upcoming announcement of a Supreme Court candidate to fill the seat of retiring Justice Anthony Kennedy:
"President Trump has an historic opportunity to shape the Supreme Court, its future caseload and decision making process. We urge the president to appoint a candidate who will respect the historic judicial deference given to the political branches of government in regards to who may enter the U.S. and under what conditions."
Founded in 1979, FAIR is the country's largest immigration reform group. With over 2 million members and supporters nationwide, FAIR fights for immigration policies that serve national interests, not special interests.
