Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board Announces Pandora Vanderpump Sabo to Headline Central PA Wine Festival
HARRISBURG, Pa., April 26, 2018 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) announced that 2018 Wine Week celebrations will continue on Friday, May 4, at Spooky Nook Sports Complex, Manheim, Lancaster County ? a new location for the newly named Susquehanna Valley International Wine Festival.
Reality TV star Pandora Vanderpump Sabo and her husband Jason Sabo will headline the event, which features more than 500 wines, dozens of vintners, and an on-site Fine Wine & Good Spirits carrying wines sampled at the event.
The VIP Tasting is from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM. VIPs will enjoy early access to the event, a selection of rare wines not offered during the Grand Tasting, and a more intimate experience with the winemakers and winery representatives.
From 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM, ticketed guests will enjoy a presentation and guided tasting of 10 Chairman's Selection® wines from around the world with Chairman's Selection buyer Steve Pollack and winemaker Don Baker of Sciandri Family Vineyards. Guests will learn about and taste wines hand-selected by Steve and talk to one of the wine industry's premier winemakers. The seminar will end just in time for guests to enjoy the Grand Tasting.
The Grand Tasting will be held from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. All guests will have the opportunity to visit the on-site Fine Wine & Good Spirits to purchase many of the wines sampled during the event. Festival patrons will receive 10 percent off all in-stock wines at the on-site store for the duration of the event.
Two Chairman's Selection® wines will debut during the wine festivals, and attendees will have a chance to taste and purchase them weeks before they arrive in stores. Havens Winery Black and Blue Napa Valley 2014, which received 91 points in Wine Advocate (Dec. 30, 2016), will be available for $19.99, a savings of more than $30 from nationally quoted prices. Franciscan Estate Merlot Reserve Napa Valley 2013 will also be available for $19.99, a savings of more than $25 from nationally quoted prices. These prices will be discounted an additional 10 percent at the on-site Fine Wine & Good Spirits during this festival.

Pandora Vanderpump Sabo is the daughter of reality TV star Lisa Vanderpump and an entrepreneur in her own right. Winemakers of note will pour their creations, including Deb and Tom Mortimer from Aubichon Cellars/Joleté Wines/Le Cadeau Vineyard (Deb is a Pennsylvania native); Jean-Étienne Chermette from Pierre Marie Chermette Beaujolais; Clément Berthier from Clément et Florian Berthier; and Vincent Esnou from Domaine de la Belle Étoile. Wine Week 2018 begins at Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia, on Thursday, May 3, and concludes at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh on Saturday, May 5.
