Forescout Expands Global Sharing of Threat Intelligence

RSA Conference ? Forescout Technologies Inc. has announced the global expansion of its unrivaled threat intelligence-sharing program. This landmark initiative led by its research arm Forescout Research - Vedere Labs, provides contextual threat intelligence to enhance global defenses and improve security posture. Last year alone, Vedere Labs tracked 420 million+ attacks, 300 million+ exploits, 19 million+ devices, and 50,000+ malware samples.

"The threat landscape continues to evolve in sophistication and frequency with highly targeted attacks against both the public and private sectors," said Elisa Costante, Vice President of Research at Forescout. "Threat Intelligence is nothing new, however, the security industry is missing contextual enriched threat insights. Only by sharing metadata about the attacks within our community, can we grow stronger. This research and intelligence sharing initiative is critical to answering the questions that matter to harden global defenses against cyber risks."

Forescout Threat Intel Delivering for the International Security Community

Forescout is now a global threat intelligence partner for the Operational Technology Information Sharing and Analysis Center. Based in Singapore, OT-ISAC facilitates secure threat information-sharing to the community for warning and mitigation. Forescout also provides early insight into emerging threats and offers containment measures.

In addition to OT-ISAC, Forescout equips the following global partners with newfound visibility into the depths of today's threat landscape:

Forescout also provides access to the Vedere Labs - KEV, an original known exploitable vulnerabilities catalog, and real-time detection rates providing first-to-find leading-edge insight on:

"The vast capabilities of Forescout threat intel is our unheralded superpower," said Barry Mainz, CEO, Forescout. "Organizations need every advantage available to protect their people, critical systems, and data from constantly evolving bad actors. Not only is our threat intelligence a critical differentiator for the larger cybersecurity community that accesses our unique threat data, but customers can also apply this insight within the Forescout Platform to design a clear, effective course of action."

Editor's Note: In a separate announcement earlier today, the company unveiled new research, Exposing the Exploited, an analysis of the exploited vulnerabilities excluded by catalog popular sources and a reminder for security leaders to rely on multi-source threat intelligence as part of their threat management strategy.
