Leading energy service company continues to expand space, headcount and services as it reaches major milestone

One of the state's most seasoned efficiency and alternative service companies, serving residential and business customers in Connecticut and southern Massachusetts, Lantern Energy has helped improve the energy efficiency of more than 35,000 Connecticut homes, apartments and businesses in the past decade and a half.

The Glastonbury-based firm already had been providing insulation, electrical services, commercial energy assessments, solar installation, smart building technology and electric vehicle charging stations over the first 10 years. Services added since then include air sealing and advanced duct sealing, two of the most effective ways to reduce energy costs.

The company also moved its headquarters from Norwich to Glastonbury, doubling its space to 10,000 square feet with a newly designed, modern office and adjacent warehouse. The new, more centralized location allows for Lantern Energy to better serve the entire state of Connecticut and parts of Massachusetts and paved the way for significant expansion of its electrical and residential services, with headcount rising by 30 percent in the last five years.

• 2023 - Launched advanced duct sealing services
