InventHelp Inventors Develop Intersection Stop Sign for Power Outages (HOF-463)


PITTSBURGH, April 15, 2024 /PRNewswire/ -- "We thought there should be an automatic way to create a 4-way stop at an intersection during a power outage," said one of two inventors, from La Porte, Texas, "so we invented the THOMPSON INVENTION. Our design would serve as a clear indication of a problem so motorists decelerate to a stop and take turns to carefully pass through the intersection."

The invention provides an automatic "STOP" sign for traffic intersections during power outages. In doing so, it would maintain a high level of safety at the intersection during a power outage. As a result, it helps reduce the potential for an accident, and it eliminates the need for a police officer to direct traffic. The invention features an automatic design that is easy to install and use so it is ideal for governmental agencies and contractors involved with traffic control, highways, and intersections.

The original design was submitted to the Houston sales office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
