This focus on impact is critical as digestive health issues in America are widespread, with one in four people living with a diagnosed digestive health disease and roughly two-thirds struggling with some type of gut issue. It has emerged as one of the top three most expensive conditions for employers and insurers contributing to rising medical claims costs, in large part because of lack of access to effective multidisciplinary care.
