Family-Owned Pittsburgh Small Business Now Integral Part of National Calibration Family of Companies

PINELLAS PARK, Fla., March 6, 2024 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Cal-Tec Labs Inc. (CTL), a full-service calibration lab based in Pittsburgh, was acquired by Florida-based Medical Technology Associates (MTA), the national corporation announced today. MTA is a leader in testing, inspection, certification, and calibration, and the addition of CTL to its portfolio strengthens both brands' calibration service offerings while also expanding capabilities into additional industries.

Headquartered in Greentree, brothers George and Jon Urban purchased Cal-Tec Labs in 2007 from their father; the pair started working for the company in 1996 when it was known as Quality Techniques. South Hills natives themselves, the Urban brothers have always kept the core Pittsburgh values of hard work, dedication, and loyalty at the center of the CTL brand.
