Media Advisory - The Salvation Army Launches Iconic Kettle Campaign on Halifax Waterfront
HALIFAX, NS, Nov. 23, 2023 /CNW/ - The Salvation Army will be at the Queen's Marque on the Halifax waterfront to kick off their annual Christmas Kettle Campaign on Nov. 25.
With the ever-increasing cost of living, plus the added expenses of Christmas, The Salvation Army once again asks for the generous support of the people of the Halifax Regional Municipality as they launch their most significant fundraising effort of the year. When you donate to a Christmas kettle, every dollar stays in your community to help vulnerable neighbours in need.

Those attending are encouraged to bring a new unwrapped toy, if possible, and enjoy free hot chocolate and live music and celebrate the start of the holiday season with The Salvation Army. Be one of the first to donate to a red kettle this year, join in on the fun, ring the bells, and give hope to those in need in your community this Christmas.
For the next five weeks, The Salvation Army's iconic red kettles will be in stores across the Maritimes. With a goal of raising $2.2 million dollars. The campaign provides vital funds to feed, clothe and shelter individuals and families in need of support this Christmas season and throughout the year.
