Media advisory - Canada and British Columbia to make a significant announcement on protecting and conserving nature


VANCOUVER, BC, Nov. 2, 2023 /CNW/ - Media representatives are advised that the Honourable Steven Guilbeault, Minister of Environment and Climate Change; the Honourable David Eby, Premier of British Columbia; and the Honourable Nathan Cullen, Minister of Water, Land and Resource Stewardship for British Columbia, will make an important announcement on protecting and conserving biodiversity, habitats, and species at risk in British Columbia.

They will be joined by the Honourable Jonathan Wilkinson, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources; Patrick Weiler, Member of Parliament for West Vancouver?Sunshine Coast?Sea to Sky Country; Regional Chief Terry Teegee, British Columbia Assembly of First Nations; Robert Phillips, First Nations Summit; Grand Chief Stewart Phillip, Union of British Columbia Indian Chiefs; and Chief Jennifer Thomas, Tsleil-Waututh Nation.
