Church of the Highlands' Serve Day: Transforming Communities, Spreading Love, and Impacting Lives

Church of the Highlands celebrated the success of its annual Serve Day this month, when over 23,000 volunteers across 24 campus locations came together to spread love through acts of kindness

BIRMINGHAM, Ala., July 24, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Church of the Highlands is elated to announce the success of its annual Serve Day, which took place on July 15th. The event brought together a diverse community of volunteers across 24 campus locations dedicated to making a positive impact and spreading love through practical acts of kindness.

Serve Day, an annual outreach event, witnessed an outpouring of compassion as volunteers embraced the call to serve others. Over 23,000 passionate individuals, including Outreach Small Groups and enthusiastic participants, united in solidarity to meet the needs of those within their communities and spheres of influence.

Throughout the day, volunteers engaged in over 1000 diverse and dynamic projects, demonstrating the power of collective kindness. From distributing over 107,000 meals to organizing neighborhood clean-ups, providing companionship to the elderly, spreading awareness about human trafficking, and supporting local service organizations, Serve Day made a significant difference in the lives of an estimated 255,200 people.

For Serve Day, Church of the Highlands extended an open invitation to individuals throughout the community. This allowed individuals from all backgrounds to join the cause and share the love of Jesus through tangible acts of kindness.

The Serve Day app played a crucial role in facilitating communication and coordination among participants. The app provided a centralized platform for volunteers to access essential information, including project registrations, updates, and valuable resources, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for all involved.

Church of the Highlands extends its heartfelt gratitude to the thousands of volunteers, Small Group leaders, and co-leaders who dedicated themselves to making Serve Day a resounding success. The church remains committed to fostering a culture of service and love, empowering its community to continue making a positive impact throughout the year.

As the spirit of Serve Day continues to resonate within the hearts of those involved, Church of the Highlands looks forward to building on this year's success and creating more opportunities to transform communities through acts of love and service.
