WASHINGTON, May 18, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Chinese modernization has provided a new path for developing countries to realize modernization independently, according to media leaders from China and Central Asian countries.

The consensus was reached at a communication event in Beijing on Tuesday ahead of the China-Central Asia Summit.

Themed "Chinese Modernization and Central Asia: New Development and New Opportunities," the event was attended by leaders of China Media Group (CMG) and mainstream media organizations in Central Asia, embassies of Central Asian countries to China and media experts.

The media has played an indispensable role in improving the friendship among countries, said Shen Haixiong, vice minister of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and president of CMG.

Shen promised that CMG will learn from the experiences of fellow media outlets in Central Asia and work with them to promote common values and help build a community with a shared future between China and Central Asian countries.

The China-Central Asia Summit is a perfect chance to establish media cooperation among the countries, said Berik Uali, chairman of the Khabar News Agency in Kazakhstan.

Globalization is an inevitable outcome of modernization, said Bolotbek Tillebaev, director general of the National Radio and Television Corporation of Kyrgyzstan, adding that the Kyrgyz side is willing to cooperate with various parties to fight against all forms of fake news.

Media cooperation between Central Asian countries and China will contribute to the modernization of the countries while promoting high-tech development, said Sadriddin Shamsuddinzoda, director of the State Enterprise "Jahonnamo" in Tajikistan.

Media outlets in Central Asian countries and China should maintain an open attitude and expand the scope of communication, said Alisher Khajayev, chairman of the National Television and Radio Company of Uzbekistan.
