Old Town Trolley Tours is in the Pink During Breast Cancer Awareness Month

SAN DIEGO, Oct. 17, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Old Town Trolley Tours of San Diego is rolling into National Breast Cancer Awareness Month with some fundraising initiatives on tap and sporting a new look for the occasion. For the month-long drive, a special-edition pink trolley can be seen driving through the streets of San Diego raising awareness and shuttling participants of the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk to and from the event. This non-competitive walk that spans 3 miles in and around iconic Balboa Park, kicks off on October 21 and unites all those who've been affected by this tragic disease for a day of solidarity and fellowship. There are several ways to give your time for this special event either by donating funds directly, volunteering, walking solo, forming a team or organizing fundraising activities.

As they do every year, Old Town Trolley Tours will be doing their part with the help of generous conductors and tour guides (the CAST). Through the selfless donation of daily tips, weekly bake sales, and raffles, CAST members contribute toward defeating this disease. Their efforts yielded almost $4,000 last year and they're aiming even higher for this year's efforts. In addition, trolley ticket booths will be distributing water in exchange for a small donation.

Another great event organized to raise funds for the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk takes place on Oct. 25, 2018. The event, called ¡Viva Las Tatas!, is co-sponsored by Old Town Trolley Tours and Café Coyote and it promises an evening of tacos, margaritas, live entertainment, a silent auction and more. The event raised over $2,500 last year and expects to improve on that total this year.

All of the proceeds generated by the efforts of the CAST of Old Town Trolley Tours of San Diego, the revenue generated from the ¡Viva La Tatas! event as well as those by the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event will go toward breast cancer research and treatment.
