Fury Water Adventures & NOAA do Their Part to Clean up the Coast

KEY WEST, Fla., Oct. 17, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- On Sunday, September 23, 2018, a group of Fury Water Adventures crew members and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) volunteers kayaked to neighboring mangrove areas as one of their several environmental cleanups of the year. Consistent with their mission to celebrate and preserve Key West's marine ecosystem, Fury Water Adventures actively advocates ocean conservation through their environmentally conscious business practices.

The clean-up effort commenced at Woman Key, an island nestled within the purview of the Key West National Wildlife Refuge. The team also visited Boca Grande, an island east of Woman Key that undergoes periodic cleanups due to the juvenile fish and migratory bird populations located there.

Scott Saunders, President of Fury Water Adventures, weighed in about his company's dedication to preserving the environment.

"The ocean gives us so much. It makes it possible for me to create jobs and to give long-lasting memories to those who go on amazing adventures with us every year. It's only right to give back."

As a seasoned entrepreneur and long-time Key West resident, Mr. Saunders is an ardent environmental conservationist and has built Fury's core values to support environmental conservation.

"As a 4th generation Conch, I will continue to commit time and resources to defend, preserve and restore our oceans for the benefit of future generations."

Additional clean-up efforts for the rest of the year are currently in the works and volunteers are always needed and welcomed. If you would like to participate in an up-coming cleanup, please contact Max Mungall at 305.407.0656 or [email protected].
