uBiome Appoints Dr. Srinivasa Reddy, PhD, Professor of Medicine and Molecular & Medical Pharmacology at UCLA, to its Scientific Advisory Board


SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 17, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- uBiome, the leader in microbial genomics, announces the addition of Dr. Srinivasa Reddy, PhD, a professor in the departments of Medicine, Molecular and Medical Pharmacology, and Obstetrics and Gynecology at University of California Los Angeles, to its Scientific Advisory Board. Joining the board of leading scientists and doctors from around the world, Dr. Reddy will bring to uBiome expertise regarding the connection between the gut and cardiovascular disease. The appointment will help uBiome continue its advancement in human microbiome research.

Dr. Reddy is a professor in-residence in the departments of Medicine, Molecular and Medical Pharmacology, and Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is a member of Molecular Pharmacology Home Area, Molecular, Cellular and Integrative Physiology Home Area, Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center, Molecular Biology Institute, Molecular Toxicology Interdepartmental Degree Program, and on faculty in Cardiology. Dr. Reddy's lab focuses on the metabolites of the gut microenvironment that may be associated with both the hardening or narrowing of the arteries and cardiovascular disease, as well as cancer development and progression.
