Prem Rawat Foundation Annual Report Shows Exceptional Achievements

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 12, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The newly released 2017 Annual Report details a year of exceptional achievement for The Prem Rawat Foundation (TPRF), which offers a variety of initiatives to help people across the world live with a strengthened sense of dignity, peace and prosperity.

The foundation's signature Peace Education Program (PEP) grew by 33 percent in 2017, in part because it is no longer dependent entirely on volunteers. Instead, large institutions such as prisons, universities, hospitals and corporations are now presenting the program to their own constituents after their staffers complete the facilitator training.

"This is a huge step toward increasing outreach and future sustainability," explains TPRF Board President Daya Rawat in the report. "PEP is becoming more well-known and appreciated because it is making a difference. When people discover their inner strengths and realize that they can find peace as individuals, no matter what else is going on, they find new solutions for problems and new sources of well-being."

The PEP workshops are based on Prem Rawat's international talks, and TPRF sponsored several live forums with him so that leaders and participants could continue their learning and directly ask follow-up questions. The events included diverse audiences in a war-torn area of Colombia, the disadvantaged township of Soweto, South Africa and a men's prison in Queensland, Australia.

The Food for People (FFP) program also grew by leaps and bounds in 2017, providing over 430,949 healthy meals to malnourished children and elderly adults in India, Nepal and Ghana. The results are transforming communities through improved health, scholastic achievement, reduced crime and economic growth. To complement the program in Nepal, TPRF funded four new computer labs and associated trainings to help prepare students to succeed in the digital world.

The Annual Report shows that TPRF's success is built on the strong grassroots support from individual donors in over 50 countries. In 2017, TPRF's strong financial health and commitment to accountability and transparency earned it the highest possible rating from Charity Navigator, America's largest independent charity evaluator.
