Sharon Kleyne, creator of the eye mist that really tackles dry eye, began a recent episode of her exciting talk radio program, The Sharon Kleyne Hour Water Life Science®/Nature's Pharma®, The Power of Water® & Your Health sponsored by Nature's Tears® EyeMist® on VoiceAmerica, by teaching listeners that long, long ago earth was surrounded by a blue ribbon. "One day," Kleyne said, "earth and the solar system performed magic. A drop of water fell to earth. All life is water. Without water, there is no life." Kleyne also taught how evaporation begins at birth and continues till death. Over-evaporation is responsible for sickness and disease such as dry eye, which can lead to blindness. Leading the fight against dry eye, Kleyne relies more and more on the power of internet connections. So, Kleyne was delighted to welcome internet technology pioneer Mei Lin Fung to the program to discuss a people-centered internet and the internet of things.

Fung, co-founder of the People-Centered Internet and collaborator with co-creator of the internet, Vint Cerf, works to create new internet technology that will make available to everyone a global network of positive change agents that will increase access while ensuring equality, protecting the vulnerable and prioritizing human well-being.

Kleyne, whose eye mist technology for dry eye has earned her international respect from scientists, researchers and physicians, asked Fung what inspired her to pursue this work. Fung responded that at 14, growing up in Singapore, she read and was strongly influenced by George Orwell's 1984 and Aldous Huxley's Brave New World. "I grew up thinking," said Fung, "that strong leaders in my lifetime will control us with technology or everyone will have the chance to raise the flag that all people must have the right to find joy and happiness on the internet."

At her first job as a computer programmer, Fung asked "How do we organize the information we need to run our businesses and our homes in such a way that we can concentrate on the human aspects of life while the computers concentrate on the boring, humdrum stuff?"

"In other words," Kleyne said, "we can discipline ourselves about what we need to do and learn, such as always having a dispenser of Nature's Tears® EyeMist®, the best eye mist for dry eye, in the world, beside every computer on earth. Why? Because computers cause eyes to over-evaporate, which triggers dry eye. Only an eye mist of 100 percent Trade Secret tissue culture grade water can supplement and replenish water lost by the dry eye to over-evaporation. We might even use an App on our phones to track body water evaporation."

"It's all about how we end up becoming connected to the information we generate," Fung added.

As the program progressed, Kleyne asked Fung to educate the audience about the internet of things.

"The internet of things connects things to people," said Fung. "An example is the refrigerator in which a sensor informs you that it is out of milk. Imagine the journey of a grain of rice from the field in which it was grown all the way to your table. Imagine putting the rice on the table in front of your children," Fung continued. "Imagine being able to show them where it was grown, how it was harvested, the ship that transported it, the cup that measured it. Think of the benefits!"

The program concluded with Fung describing the current internet situation and the internet future. "We are at the beginning of a vast new internet frontier," said Fung. "We are on the internet equivalent of the Lewis and Clarke Highway, the digital frontier of the internet. Via the internet, we are going to go from the beach ball to the sun, and individuals will find their own homesteads."
