Dexcom Announces Release of Clarity Mobile App

Mobile app allows patients to quickly access glucose data on their phone for diabetes management 

Dexcom, Inc. (NASDAQ:DXCM), a leader in continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), announced today the release of the CLARITY mobile app.

The Dexcom CLARITY® Diabetes Management Software is a cloud-based solution that simplifies CGM data reporting and facilitates the secure sharing of data between physicians and their patients. Now, with the CLARITY app, patients can view glucose insights with just a quick glance at their phone.

Key features on the app include:

• Push notifications and summary emails delivering weekly insights directly to patients
• Summary dashboard to view glucose metrics for selected time-period (7, 14, 30 and 90 days), including: time in range, estimated HbA1c (eHbA1c), average glucose and hypoglycaemia risk
• Generate reports to save, print or email
• Authorise data sharing between patient and clinic to make appointments more efficient

First launched for desktop, the Dexcom CLARITY diabetes management solution enables patients and clinics to review past glucose levels from the Dexcom CGM over user-defined time periods. Dexcom CLARITY offers a range of reports to meet varying user needs. Dexcom CLARITY's Overview report provides high-level metrics like estimated HbA1c and average glucose. CLARITY also compiles glucose trend data to identify patterns of hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar) and hyperglycaemia (high blood sugar). Dexcom CLARITY also has an Ambulatory Glucose Profile (AGP), a licensed, standardised glucose report created by the International Diabetes Center (IDC), that provides a big picture view of diabetes management.
