Alibaba Cloud Expands Technical Partnership with EnterpriseDB to Provide Enhanced Postgres Cloud Database Capabilities on Alibaba Cloud


BEDFORD, Mass., Sept. 26, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Since 2015, Alibaba Cloud and EnterpriseDB (EDB) have partnered on cloud database products that have been brought to market by Alibaba. As part of that initial partnership, Alibaba launched ApsaraDB for PPAS, a relational database as a service based on Alibaba Cloud Apsara architecture and EDB Postgres Advanced Server. Alibaba Cloud will strengthen its partnership with EDB to provide global users enhanced Postgres cloud database services and products.

EnterpriseDB provides Oracle compatibility to enhance the world's favorite open source relational database management system (RDBMS), PostgreSQL.
