OrthoPediatrics Foundation for Education & Research Announces Lead Sponsorship of POST Course

WARSAW, Ind., Sept. 21, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The OrthoPediatrics Foundation for Education & Research, a 501(c)(3) public charity exclusively focused on advancing the field of pediatric orthopedics, announced today it will assume lead sponsorship for the 3rd Annual Pediatric Orthopedic Surgical Techniques ("POST") Lab, which will take place September 28-29 in Memphis, TN.

The course, designed to enhance surgical skills, features comprehensive lectures and cadaveric labs to provide participants an overview of current concepts in pediatric orthopedic surgery. To ensure an excellent faculty to participant ratio, 33 pediatric orthopedic surgeons from five countries will participate in the two-day program, providing them an opportunity to learn from world-class faculty and get hands-on experience with a variety of surgical techniques. Topics covered will be upper extremities, spine, hip and lower extremities, including trauma, deformity and sports.

The Foundation's efforts are led by Dr. Peter F. Armstrong, commenting, "The backbone of the OrthoPediatrics Foundation for Education & Research is based on the mission of helping children with orthopedic needs and education plays a major role. Given the complex and challenging nature of pediatric orthopedic surgery, it is imperative to provide eager physicians the opportunity for a solid foundation to build upon. We are committed to supporting excellent training and education opportunities for surgeons, both domestically and internationally, and we are thrilled to be part of a program generating such high demand starting from its inception."
