RVshare Hires Marketing and Product Executives to Accelerate Growth

AUSTIN, Texas, Sept. 20, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- RVshare, the world's largest RV rental marketplace, which closed a $50mm round of funding in February, has added to its management team. Former HomeAway executive Melissa Fortenberry joins the 65-person RVshare team as Vice President of Product, while Martijn Scheijbeler, a former executive at Postmates, fills the role of Vice President of Marketing.

Fortenberry's 15-year career in product management includes having served as VP of global partner and product marketing at the vacation rental giant HomeAway, an Expedia brand. During her 10 years there, she was responsible for the management and marketing of products for both its consumers and its homeowners/property managers. Under her leadership, HomeAway launched more than 50 products and features that transformed it from an advertising platform to an online marketplace.

At RVshare, Scheijbeler is responsible for all aspects of marketing from demand generation to brand marketing. He is a performance marketing expert, who previously worked at the peer-to-peer delivery service Postmates, where he helped build out and oversaw the SEO function. He also previously led marketing at The Next Web and oversaw traffic acquisition and data management at Springest.

RVshare plans on filling 5-10 new product, marketing and software development roles in its Austin office by the end of the year.
