The Tinina Q. Cade Foundation Creates the Dr. Stephen Greenhouse Family Building Grant Exclusively for Shady Grove Fertility Patients

WASHINGTON, Sept. 20, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Tinina Q. Cade Foundation recently announced the establishment of the Dr. Stephen Greenhouse Family Building Grant, in partnership with Shady Grove Fertility (SGF). This grant, specifically designated for SGF patients, was established to honor the memory and legacy of Dr. Stephen Greenhouse, an SGF physician and practice leader who died in an accident in July of 2018.

"Dr. Greenhouse was a strong supporter of our Foundation and attended many Cade Foundation events with his family over the years. He was a role model and leader within our community, and someone whom thousands admired for his commitment to helping build families," said Camille Hammond, M.D., M.P.H., CEO and Founder of the Cade Foundation, which was created in 2005 to provide support to families with infertility.

"Among the reasons this honor is so fitting is because anyone who had the privilege of knowing Dr. Greenhouse knows how endlessly and tirelessly he devoted his life's work to the benefit of his patients," says SGF physician and Cade Foundation Board Member, Dr. Frank Chang.

The grant will be awarded twice in 2019 (once in the spring and once in the fall.) Each grant will be awarded to a Shady Grove Fertility patient for IVF. The grant award cannot be used for any other services or treatment. Applicants interested in being considered for the Dr. Stephen Greenhouse Grant should apply for a Tinina Q Cade Foundation Family Building Grant at https://cadefoundation.org/grants. This grant is restricted to SGF patients and therefore all SGF applicants are automatically entered into the consideration pool for both general Cade Foundation Family Building Grants as well as Dr. Stephen Greenhouse Family Building Grant. MDR Pharmacy has also agreed to donate all medications for both cycles for grant recipients.

To make a contribution that will support this grant, please visit the Dr. Stephen Greenhouse Grant fundraising page. To leave a tribute to Dr. Greenhouse, please visit the SGF website.
