Core Molding Technologies Appoints New Vice President Of Operations


COLUMBUS, Ohio, Sept. 19, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Core Molding Technologies, Inc. (NYSE MKT: CMT) announced today that Eric L. Palomaki has been appointed Vice President of Operations effective September 19, 2018.

"Eric's experience leading multi-plant operations in the automotive and commercial lighting industries was instrumental in our hiring decision," said Kevin L. Barnett, President and Chief Executive Officer. "Eric has a track record of driving operational improvements, establishing effective quality and safety systems and demonstrating strong leadership skills through ongoing mentoring of employees at his past companies.  We believe with his high energy level he will be able to have an immediate impact on the Company's operations," Barnett added.

Prior to joining Core, Mr. Palomaki was the Vice President of Advanced Manufacturing Engineering at Acuity Brands Lighting, a commercial lighting company with 12,000 employees generating $3.5 billion annually. Prior to Acuity Brands, Mr. Palomaki served in multiple roles in the automotive industry for North American Lighting, TRW Automotive and Borg Warner Automotive.  Mr. Palomaki holds an Executive Master of Business Administration from Jack Welch Management Institute and a Bachelor of Science, Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
