La Jolla Vein Care Expands In Medical Staff And Doubles Clinic Space

SAN DIEGO, Sept. 19, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Distinguished San Diego vein clinic, La Jolla Vein Care, has increased their ability to service the growing demand in treating vein disease and disorders in San Diego by increasing their medical staff and expanding to a second clinic space. Today, they announced that Sarah Lucas MD, RPVI joined the clinic. She is the first vascular surgeon to join the team at La Jolla Vein Care.

The clinic space will expand by 1600 square feet and is located across the street from the current La Jolla Vein Care clinic. It will serve as a location dedicated to the first level of treatment for patients with vein issues. They began seeing patients in the new space on September 7th.

"I am thrilled to expand the excellent service we give the San Diego community with our new additional clinic and the additional expertise of Dr. Lucas; " said Nisha Bunke, M.D., CEO. "Though we do primarily non-invasive procedures, I love having the expertise of a vascular surgeon on our staff. The growth of our clinic ensures that we are decreasing wait times for our patients and covering all of our bases in patient care."

Founded by Dr. Nisha Bunke in 2010, La Jolla Vein Care has prided itself on being the first to provide the newest technology and most comprehensive services for their clients. Dr. Bunke is a leading expert in the field, completing the first fellowship in venous and lymphatic medicine and co-editing the premier textbook on venous and lymphatic disease. Under Dr. Bunke's leadership, La Jolla Vein Care has become the leader in non-invasive treatments in Southern California.

"There are so many reasons to be excited about my new appointment at La Jolla Vein Care, from relocating to San Diego, to being part of the vision of patient care and education created by Dr. Bunke," said Sarah Lucas, vascular surgeon, La Jolla Vein Care. "I look forward to bringing my surgical experience to an outstanding practice exclusively focused on venous care and to healing more and more patients with venous disease."

Recently, La Jolla Vein Care announced accreditation by Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) in the area of Superficial Venous Treatment and Management, becoming the first dedicated vein center in San Diego to achieve this standard of excellence. Accreditation by the IAC means that La Jolla Vein Care has undergone an intensive application and review process, is found to be in compliance with the published standards, and demonstrates a commitment to quality patient care in vein treatment and management.
