PITTSBURGH, Sept. 18, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- "Lots of accidents are caused by drivers getting incapacitated, falling off their seats or not wearing seat belts," said an inventor from Las Vegas, Nev. "I wanted to address this safety concern in order to prevent vehicles from being driven out of control and causing injuries and/or deaths."

He developed the SQUAT SWITCH to automatically cut off the engine in the event that the driver is incapacitated. The system also cuts off the engine in other dangerous situations, including if driver falls from the seat or is not belted in. All of this helps to prevent the vehicle from being driven out of control. The system thereby reduces the risk of collisions. Additionally, it is designed to enhance personal safety and also offers added peace of mind.

The original design was submitted to the Las Vegas office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
