Spitzer Mitsubishi Educates Buyers About 2018 Eclipse Cross

SHEFFIELD VILLAGE, Ohio, Sept. 17, 2018 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- The 2018 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross is arguably the most exciting addition to the new vehicle inventory available at Spitzer Mitsubishi in some time. Customers looking for an efficient, nimble and well-equipped crossover SUV would do well to make an appointment with one of the dealership's product experts right away. New models always have some challenges when they are introduced to buyers. However, because the Eclipse Cross is going to be competing in the crossover SUV segment, it will have to be able to stand out in a class that is filled with excellent options. Objective comparison information can be hard to come by, so Spitzer Mitsubishi has done some of the work for customers to learn about the new model before they schedule a test drive.

One of the vehicles that are bound to crop up in the shopping process of potential 2018 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross buyers is the 2018 Honda HR-V. The Honda compact crossover SUV has only been on the market for a year or two and Mitsubishi has equipped the 2018 Eclipse Cross to outshine it in a few very important ways.

Under the hood, the 2018 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross is powered by a turbocharged, 1.5-liter, four-cylinder engine which is attached to a continuously variable transmission. It will produce up to 152 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque. This represents a comfortable lead over the performance specifications of the 2018 Honda HR-V, which is powered by a naturally aspirated 1.8-liter, four-cylinder engine and uses a six-speed manual transmission as standard equipment; and a peak output of 141 horsepower.

Technology that helps drivers integrate their smartphones into their daily commute is very important to a vehicle's appeal. Both models have an infotainment system that is compatible with applications from the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto suites. However, only the 2018 Eclipse Cross makes this capability available on all of its trim grades. Honda owners who choose the entry-level version of the HR-V would not be able to use their favorite smartphone applications.

Anyone can view the entire inventory at Spitzer Mitsubishi by visiting the dealership's website, www.spitzersheffield.com. The showroom is located at 4840 Transportation Drive, Sheffield Village, OH 44054. Customers can schedule a test drive with the 2018 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross or any vehicle available in the dealership's inventory today by calling, 440-638-5596.
