CellPoint Mobile Appoints New Global Head of Pre-Sales to Support Continued Company Growth


The new position will focus on developing mobile-first solution sets that address myriad challenges faced by travel merchants

LONDON, Sept. 13, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- CellPoint Mobile, a leading global provider of sales and payment-side mobile technology solutions for the airline and travel sectors, welcomes Steve Packwood to its executive team as Global Head of Pre-Sales across all vertical markets ? Air, Hospitality and Ground. Based in the company's London office, Steve will be responsible for designing solution sets that solve business problems, drive value, and ultimately, increase revenue for CellPoint Mobile's global customer base.

As Global Head of Pre-Sales, Steve will be instrumental in coordinating sales strategies and efforts as CellPoint Mobile increases its presence across a number of industries and regions, all focused on travel, transportation and hospitality. CellPoint Mobile serves Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Asia-Pacific and the United States, and its offerings span payments (PSP services), and mobile services for airline, ground transportation, and hospitality. Steve will help travel merchants and implement new mobile-first solutions that use different mobile capabilities to solve business and revenue challenges, while making travel easier for passengers and guests.

Prior to joining CellPoint Mobile, Steve spent 20 years with Sabre Airlines Solutions, where he held Marketing and Product Management leadership positions across the areas of Revenue Management, Reservations and Check-in, and most recently as Head of Customer Support responsible for the EMEA region. Before holding that position, he was based in the US where he held various positions with Sabre including Product Director of Reservations and Departure Control Systems, Product Director of Revenue Management Solutions and Delivery Director for Revenue Management. He has also worked at TravelClick in the hospitality sector as Program Director for EMEA, and his earlier career included roles in systems development organizations at airlines such as British Airways and American Airlines, and several global hospitality companies.
