NUCTECH provided security equipment and services for the 2018 Asian Games

JAKARTA, Indonesia, Sept. 11, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- NUCTECH was the security equipment supplier at the 18th Asian Games, which was kicked off on August 18, 2018 in Jakarta and Palembang, Indonesia. This year's event is the second time that Indonesia has hosted the Asian Games in 56 years. Over 15,000 athletes from 45 countries participated in the Games. The Asian Games closed on September 2 in Jakarta. China won 289 medals, including 132 gold, 92 silver and 65 bronze, leading the medal count for the tenth time in a row in Asian Games history.

In order to guard the Asian Games and help make it a safe and joyful event for the Indonesian people and the rest of the world, NUCTECH used the latest vehicle scanning equipment running 24 hours a day to inspect logistics vehicles entering the Athletes Village. During the event, many Indonesian government officials came on site to observe these devices while they were running.

NUCTECH Provided Nearly 100 Sets of Security Inspection Equipment for All Venues

For the 18th Asian Games, NUCTECH provided nearly 100 sets of security inspection equipment which were installed in the office building of the Indonesia Asian Games 2018 Organizing Committee, the main venue in Jakarta, the Athletes Village, the main venue in Palembang and all other competition venues, so as to prevent potential threats.

There were less than two weeks from the date of official contract award to the opening of the Asian Games, so to prepare for the Games, NUCTECH brought the equipment to Indonesia in advance, and set up a team of nearly 30 members who worked around the clock in cooperation with local partners to install and commission equipment. It only took the team five days to complete the installation and commissioning process of all devices, leaving a couple of days for the Indonesian client to conduct trial operations on site. It is fair to say that NUCTECH accomplished a "mission impossible".

NUCTECH deployed two technical service teams in two host cities to inspect the equipment installed at all venues to ensure that nothing went wrong. Despite wonderful games going on a few steps away, NUCTECH engineers didn't have time to watch them and all they did was work.

NUCTECH's Security Equipment at the Airport Contributed to the Success of the Games

In addition to the equipment used at the venues of the Asian Games, NUCTECH's security equipment was operational 24 hours a day at the Soekarno?Hatta International Airport, the largest airport in Jakarta, while the host city welcomed delegations from all participating countries, athletes and tourists. By helping make the Games a safe event, NUCTECH was demonstrating its love of Indonesia.

Over the past ten-plus years, NUCTECH has provided integrated security inspection solutions and services for large-scale events, including the Olympic Games, the Asian Games and the Southeast Asian Games.

NUCTECH plans to be at the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou, China.
