Skip Now Integrated with ZipLine, Partnership Poised to Disrupt Payment Processors

SALT LAKE CITY, Aug. 21, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Skip announces integration with ZipLine's Private Label Debit (ACH) consumer payment platform. The Skip development team partnered with ZipLine over the summer to connect their systems via an API. This is a fundamental growth opportunity for both organizations as their respective products and services now seamlessly work together, providing best-in-class frictionless mobile checkout with ZipLine 'Payments as Loyalty' platform for retail clients and customers alike.

The ZipLine partnership started with Skip's rollout of frictionless checkout at Ricker's Oil. With nearly one in five C-stores already utilizing ZipLine for Merchant Branded Payments, this integration point gives Skip the opportunity to connect with more clients and increase its nationwide speed to market. It also allows Skip to enable more automated ACH payments by cross-selling ZipLine's product, creating mutually beneficial opportunities for both companies.

"In planning the Ricker's launch over the past few months, our conversations really focused on how our app can drive in-store transactions. It was a natural progression to integrate with ZipLine, once it was underway we saw it more as an industry-leading partnership that capitalizes on an opportunity C-Store retailers have to convert fuel purchasers at the pump to in-store sales." - Chase Thomason, CEO/Founder of Skip

ZipLine's 'Payments as Loyalty' platform is best known for creating stickier, more frequent consumers at the pump and in-store, with its Merchant Branded card and mobile payment platforms which leverage low-cost ACH fees into valuable consumer rewards. Partnering with Skip enables even more ACH payments and will leverage ZipLine's fuel incentive based loyalty to convert more in-store transactions via Skip's technology, pushing customers from the forecourt to the food court.

"ZipLine's private label (Merchant Branded) debit cards and mobile payments already increase frequency of visit. By combining with Skip's frictionless checkout technology, we anticipate substantial growth for both parties, particularly with in-store transactions." - Danilo Portal, Chief Innovation Officer at ZipLine

Payment processors, like Vantiv and Worldpay, be warned; mobile payments are here to stay and the current terminal model could be in trouble. As technological innovators, ZipLine and Skip see change as a positive necessity, and based on the adoption of these forward-thinking solutions, the market seems to agree.
