WILLIAMSBURG, Va., Aug. 21, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The Williamsburg Woodlands Hotel and Suites has been awarded the 2018 TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence, making it the fifth year in a row the hotel has received the honor. The TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence has been in place since 2011, honoring hospitality businesses that deliver consistently great service in the U.S. and internationally. The designation is presented annually to a small group of guest beloved businesses and hotels which have consistently achieved great reviews over the given year, with only approximately 10% of total businesses listed on TripAdvisor receiving the honor. With no application process, this distinction is awarded on merit based directly from the guest experience over time. The Woodlands Hotel & Suites and their staff have continued to prove themselves year over year.

The Williamsburg Woodlands Hotel and Suites offers Williamsburg visitors 299 guest rooms at a superb value, offering 12,812 feet of function space overlooking a scenic wooded ravine and flowing waterfall. Ideal for families or those exploring for the weekend, there is something for every type of guest at Woodlands Hotel and Suites.

"Over 80 years ago John D. Rockefeller began a tradition of superior service, and we are very proud to have upheld this level of guest experiences offered at the Woodlands Hotel and Suites," said Mitchell B. Reiss, President and CEO of the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. "TripAdvisor recognition is especially validating as the award comes directly from the guest, who our staff work to ensure has the best stay possible whether they are exploring the historical area or lodging at one of our properties."

"We are thankful for all of our Woodlands Hotel and Suites guests over the years who have continued to support our staff on TripAdvisor, sharing their memorable experiences while staying at Williamsburg," said Florencio Ferrao, Colonial Williamsburg Vice President of Hospitality. "To have our hotel included amongst some of the top TripAdvisor properties and businesses for five years running, is an honor that we celebrate and will continue to provide to each guest visiting Williamsburg."
