Construction begins for a new housing project in Melfort


MELFORT, SK, Aug. 20, 2018 /CNW/ - The Government of Canada and the Province of Saskatchewan along with North East Outreach and Support Services (NEOSS) officially announced funding for the construction of a four-unit rental housing project, including support services, for women fleeing violence in the Melfort area.

The Honourable Ralph Goodale, Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, on behalf of the Honourable Jean-Yves Duclos, Minister of Families, Children and Social Development and Minister Responsible for Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC), along with the Honourable Paul Merriman, Minister of Social Services and Minister Responsible for Saskatchewan Housing Corporation (SHC), and Louise Schweitzer, NEOSS Executive Director, made the announcement today.
