Schioppa Introduces Diamond Series Casters

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., Aug. 15, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Schioppa Casters is excited to announce an addition to their expansive lineup of casters. The newly designed Diamond Series features a caster specifically engineered for use on equipment that requires ease of movement and stability. Manufactured with an antimicrobial compound injected into a thermoplastic resin during molding, Diamond Series casters provide increased protection against the growth and spread of bacteria and fungi making them ideal for hospitals, laboratories, and food service areas. Plus, with ease-of-use in mind, this unique caster boasts specifically engineered yokes, wheel clearance, and scalps to make cleaning and equipment hygiene even easier.

Until recently, the medical industry standard for hospital mobile workstations was a closed construction caster with a larger single wheel. These were bulky and unstable due to the smaller tread width. They offered limited mobility and were nearly impossible to sanitize. The need for a better caster is what drove Schioppa to develop the Diamond Series caster as the new standard for medical and institutional applications.

Designed by our team of engineers, the new dual-wheel design and total lock brake increases the load-bearing capacity and stability. Manufactured with a Nylon Polyamide 6.0 body and grey TPR non-marking dual wheels, Diamond Series casters have a dynamic load capacity of 220 lbs. The open-construction allows for easier cleaning and sanitation, and a precision ball bearing provides more maneuverability and fluidity of motion. The standard color options include ice, black, and beige, but custom colors are also available to meet branding or aesthetic requirements.

Restaurant, medical, and research environments require casters that maintain cleanliness, maneuverability, and stability, making the Diamond Series a perfect solution. Their specialized manufacturing provides increased protection against the growth and spread of bacteria, making them ideal for food service areas, hospitals, and laboratories. Developed with ease-of-use in mind, the unique Diamond Series casters boast scientifically engineered body assemblies and wheel clearance, making cleaning and equipment hygiene even easier.

The new Diamond Series Caster is now the standard clean answer to your controlled motion concerns. Contact Schioppa today and let us show you exactly why.
