Petroleum Association of Wyoming Endorses Liz Cheney for Congress

CASPER, Wyo., Aug. 15, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Paul Ulrich, Chairman of the Petroleum Association of Wyoming, formally announced the organization's support for the re-election of Congresswoman Liz Cheney. Specifically, Ulrich cited Cheney's record of streamlining the federal regulatory process and fighting in support of Wyoming's fossil fuel industry and workers as reasons for the association's endorsement.

"Spurred by innovation, deregulation and pro-growth policies, Wyoming's oil and natural gas industry is driving job creation and energy independence," Ulrich said. "Our industry requires leadership to remain competitive, and U.S. Rep. Liz Cheney is the only candidate running for Congress who possesses a record of getting results that streamline the federal regulatory process and strengthen Wyoming's fossil fuel industry. The Petroleum Association of Wyoming proudly endorses Liz Cheney because we are confident she will continue to be the leader we need in Congress who fights for Wyoming oil and gas, our workers and the consumers we serve."

"It's an honor to once again earn the endorsement of the Petroleum Association of Wyoming. Our fossil fuels are national treasures.  As Wyoming's lone voice in the House of Representatives and a member of the Natural Resources Committee, I have led a national effort to roll back federal regulations, such as the BLM Planning 2.0, and fight for policies that support a stronger and expanded fossil fuel industry. I look forward to continuing to work with President Donald Trump as he pursues policies that encourage energy development, protect Wyoming's natural resources and generate jobs and economic growth," said U.S. Rep. Liz Cheney.

The Petroleum Association of Wyoming (PAW) is dedicated to the betterment of the state's oil and gas industry by providing a forum for interaction among members, the public, and local, state and federal governments.
