Media Advisory - Media Opportunity: IBC Flood Factor booth educates British Columbians on the risk of flood; IBC and the Honourable Ben Stewart make donation to the Canadian Red Cross


KELOWNA, BC, July 20, 2018 /CNW/ - Insurance Bureau of Canada (IBC) is proud to bring Flood Factor, an important consumer education initiative to raise Canadians' level of awareness of flood risk, to Kelowna, BC.

As an industry leader on adapting to the impact of climate change, IBC will be presenting a $2,500 cheque to the Canadian Red Cross while at the Downtown Kelowna Block Party on July 21. The cheque will be presented by Aaron Sutherland, Vice-President, Pacific, IBC, in partnership with the Honourable Ben Stewart, MLA for Kelowna West.  Liam Devine, Emergency Management Coordinator, Canadian Red Cross, will be accepting the cheque on the organization's behalf.
