Rigaku Presents Latest Single Crystal and SAXS Systems at the 68th American Crystallographic Association Meeting

TORONTO, Jul. 20, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Rigaku Oxford Diffraction (ROD) is pleased to announce its attendance at the 68th Annual Meeting of the American Crystallographic Association (ACA), being held July 20-24 at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel in Toronto, Canada. Rigaku Oxford Diffraction, an Emerald Sponsor of the event, is presenting their macromolecular and small molecule crystallography instrumentation at booths 107 and 109.

Scientific sessions, poster presentations, workshops and events are presented in conjunction with the largest crystallographic exhibit in North America. The scientific program includes a small angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) workshop sponsored by Rigaku. Oral presentations from Rigaku include a workshop presentation on X-ray scattering profiles and a presentation on analysis of pharmaceutically relevant samples with the Rigaku BioSAXS-2000nano small angle X-ray scattering Kratky camera system. A new scientific poster highlighting the Rigaku XtaLAB Synergy-S microfocus sealed tube diffractometer for weakly diffracting samples will be also presented.

The Rigaku XtaLAB Synergy-S single crystal X-ray diffractometer, a fast and agile system for 3D structure analysis, is on display at the event. It is based around the PhotonJet-S series of microfocus X-ray sources that incorporate continuously variable divergence slits, available in copper (Cu), molybdenum (Mo) or silver (Ag) wavelengths, in a single or dual source configuration. The system is equipped with a state-of-the-art hybrid photon counting detector and the full-featured CrysAlisPro software.
