Better Daytm Health Earns 2015 Edition ONC Health IT Certification

NEW ORLEANS, July 18, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Better Daytm Health, an advanced, cloud-based clinical operating system that supplants outdated legacy electronic health record (EHR) technology, announced today that it has achieved Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC-HIT) 2015 Edition Certification via the Drummond Group, an Authorized Certification Body (ACB) empowered to test software for compliance with the requirements of various federal government programs.

Better Day Health is one of only 200 companies that have achieved 2015 Edition certification.

The stamp of approval designates that Better Daytm Health offers the functionality that enables eligible providers to meet the ONC-Health IT Promoting Interoperability policy requirements, qualifying these healthcare organizations to receive payments under multiple federal EHR incentive programs. In summary, this means that Better Daytm Health is certified for 2015 Edition criteria. Beginning with the 2019 reporting period, eligible providers will be required to start using 2015 Edition Certified EHR Technology (CEHRT).

"Better Daytm Health represents an entirely new approach to documentation and data capture that promotes data sharing and patient engagement and are critical for next-generation interoperability, usability, transparency, and scalability," said Better Daytm Health CEO, Peter Ragusa, MD, MPH. "We have built a clinical operating system for the modern practice of medicine, it is patient-centered software designed by doctors for doctors that nearly eliminates overly-burdensome clinical documentation and makes it much easier for doctors to do their jobs compared to current EHR and practice management systems."

To earn the certification, Better Daytm Health was tested and found to be following applicable standards necessary for 41 different certification criteria as defined by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). With testing experience across various industries, the Drummond Group brings a high level of technical expertise to this process, having certified hundreds of EHRs since becoming an ACB in 2010. As of today, there are just over 200 companies that have achieved 2015 Edition certification.

EHRs were supposed to revolutionize medicine. Instead, they have been a workflow nightmare for doctors. Medical groups are looking for certified, cost-effective solutions that remove the unnecessary complexity and inefficiencies of EHRs to help maximize their reimbursement while reducing the documentation burden for their doctors. Better Daytm Health's reimagined user experience delivers intelligent tools designed to work the way a doctor thinks - generating higher value for providers and enabling a positive user experience while achieving the goals of data-driven, value-based healthcare.
