InventHelp Inventor Develops Medical Accessory to Secure OG and NG Tubes (NPL-197)

PITTSBURGH, July 16, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- "As an ICU nurse, I have issues daily with finding a safe way to secure oral and nasogastric tubes," said an inventor from Cape Coral, Fla. "I came up with my idea as a better, safer, more convenient way to secure these tubes that does not require taping the tube in place."

She created a prototype for the PATRAKA LOCK to offer a more convenient way to secure a nasogastric (NG) or oral gastric (OG) tube. The accessory eliminates the need to tape the tube in place. This saves time and effort. It also is designed to enhance patient safety and comfort. The device allows for ease of adjustment and securement. In addition, the invention stops the tube from becoming dislodged or shifting out of position.

The original design was submitted to the Naples office of InventHelp. It is currently patent pending and available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
