New Co-Branded DentalXChange and Delta Dental of Colorado Software Reduces Credential Processing From 90 Days to 10 Days
IRVINE, Calif., July 12, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- DentalXChange, creator of industry-leading electronic claims solution, ClaimConnect, has announced the results of its first-ever co-branded credentialing software platform. Co-branded with Delta Dental of Colorado, DDS Enroll software has reduced credentialing processing times by 89 percent, dropping from 90 days to 10 days, according to Cheryl A. Lerner, DMD, Chief Clinical Officer of Delta Dental of Colorado.
"These results create a new benchmark for the industry," says Dr. Lerner. "In just three months, the DentalXChange team implemented a product that exceeds our expectations in every way. The concerns we had early on that providers would be hesitant to adopt the paperless process were quickly dispelled. Since our launch, 99.8percent of all credentialing and recredentialing application packets have been submitted electronically."
"The tremendous expertise, quality of software design and professionalism of the DentalXChange team have allowed us to process 97 percent of the applications submitted to date with no hands-on assistance or provider follow-up from Delta Dental of Colorado staff," says Lerner. "The level of service they have provided has been exceptional?certainly the best from a vendor in my career so far."
Additional results released by DentalXChange regarding the new co-branded DDS Enroll software include:
Increased provider accessibility Providers are now able to log in and monitor their credential process in real time. This option was not previously available.
All-Payer Option DDS Enroll improves the provider experience by offering an all-payer solution in lieu of a single-payer solution, eliminating the need to duplicate lengthy applications across all carriers.
Payer Notifications Recredentialing notifications can be delivered via ClaimConnect, a national all-payer revenue management portal with access to nearly every provider desktop. Credentialing expiration notices are no longer an expensive process for payers, freeing up in-house staff or eliminating the need to outsource this process.
"The results of this program are encouraging for the industry as a whole," says Scott Wellwood, President of DentalXChange. "EDI adoption rates in the dental sector continue to lag that of the healthcare industry at large. The impressive adoption rates of the Colorado provider market show that providers are seeking paperless and streamlined solutions. We believe we'll see more payers shift to EDI credentialing software in the months ahead, and we remain open to partnerships and co-branded solutions with others in the industry."
