Boston Pizza hosting annual "Eskimo for a Day" Contest
64 Lucky Youth to Sign One-Day Contracts with the Edmonton Eskimos
EDMONTON, July 12, 2018 /CNW/ - If you're looking for weekend visuals, look no further. On Saturday, July 14, 2018, 64 football-loving youth will be signing one-day contracts with the Edmonton Eskimos. An annual event hosted by Boston Pizza, these local youngsters will hit the field at Commonwealth Stadium to take part in a realistic "try out" and contract signing experience. In addition to autographs and a group photo, the kids will participate in fun football "try out" drills with some of their favourite players.
"Giving back to our local communities has always been a focus for Boston Pizza; working with the Edmonton Eskimos again felt like a natural fit," says Jenna Bull, Marketing Manager for Sports Program & Sponsorships. "It's going to be a fantastic day ? we're very excited to give these up-and-coming local all-stars the chance to join the Eskimos organization."
Media are invited to come down to the Commonwealth Stadium on July 14th at 10:00am to film, photograph and interview the Edmonton Eskimos' newest players. Interview opportunities are also available with a Boston Pizza representative and Edmonton Eskimos players, including Shaquille Cooper, Mason Woods, Bryant Mitchell, and Nick Usher.
