Bay Shore Area Dealership Partners with Animal Rescue for Adoption Event

BAY SHORE, N.Y., June 23, 2018 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- The dealership team at Atlantic Honda is dedicated to giving back to the Bay Shore community. That's why the dealership has partnered with Ruff House Rescue to host an animal adoption and education event as part of Honda Service Week. 
 
The Animal Adoption Event will take place on Saturday, June 23, 2018. Rescue volunteers will be at the dealership from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. to help educate people about volunteering and fostering dogs and cats in need, and adoptable animals will be on site from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with adoptions on site available. There will be a DJ present throughout the event as well as barbecue foods.

Ruff House Rescue is a New York-based non-profit rescue organization that operates on a foster-home basis. While the organization does have a small kennel, the majority of the dogs and cats they rescue live in foster homes of dedicated volunteers until they are adopted. Many of the dogs and cats saved need medical care, requiring a home and a volunteer that can dedicate their time to ensure the animal's health and safety. Ruff House Rescue strives to raise awareness about the plight of shelter animals in need as well as save as many lives as possible by taking them out of the shelters and putting them into actual homes where foster volunteers can provide love and care until they are adopted.
