Jason Dunkel Named President and CEO for Florida Hospital North Pinellas


TARPON SPRINGS, Fla., June 21, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Adventist Health System, the parent company of Florida Hospital, has named Jason Dunkel to the position of President and CEO for Florida Hospital North Pinellas, 1395 S. Pinellas Ave., Tarpon Springs, FL. Dunkel will assume leadership responsibilities for the 168-bed hospital immediately.

His contributions and leadership have helped elevate Florida Hospital North Pinellas and advance our mission in the community, and I am confident that the hospital will prosper under his guidance," said Terry Shaw, president/CEO for Adventist Health System.

Dunkel previously served as Vice President of Operations and Business Development for Florida Hospital North Pinellas, overseeing the hospital's growth activities and initiatives, as well as daily operations for cardiology, imaging, pharmacy and laboratory services. He also provided leadership and oversight of the construction and opening of a 24-bed freestanding emergency room in Palm Harbor.

Prior to joining Florida Hospital North Pinellas, Dunkel served in various health care operations and strategic development roles at Adventist Health System hospitals, including Director of Business Development at Littleton Adventist Hospital, Littleton, Colorado, and Executive Director of Business Development and marketing at Jellico Community Hospital, Jellico, Tennessee.

Dunkel earned a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Southern Adventist University and a Master's Degree in Divinity from Andrews University. He also earned a Bachelor's Degree in Theology from Southern Adventist University.
