FC Lighting Introduces It's New Sea Turlte and Wildlife Friendly Lighting Using Amber LEDs Approved by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission
ST. These fixtures are approved for wildlife use by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) and are Wildlife Lighting certified under ID #2018-049. All fixtures use Amber LEDs that produce a 560nm (nanometer) or greater wavelength, which is a longer light wavelength that is visually less detectable by wildlife. The consideration given to advance these lighting fixtures includes, but is not limited to, the visible height of the LEDs light beam, in reference to the distance above the ground or mounting surface, the use of tested and approved Amber spectrum LEDs using 560nm light wavelength or above, optical beam choices, down facing light patterns that are Dark Sky Compliant, optional cut-off shields and visors when needed for focusing the light beam pattern, IP65 ingress protection rating, the photometric bug rating, commercial power requirements and long-lasting powder coat (ASTM B117 tested) and stainless steel finishes.
