La Ronde Opens with an Exciting New Family Ride and Unique Entertainment Lineup

Thrills for All Ages Highlight the New Season

MONTREAL, May 17, 2018 /CNW Telbec/ - La Ronde, the Thrill Capital of Quebec, will kick off the exciting 2018 season with the launch of a thrilling, new family ride and a series of fun, special events. The park's latest attraction, Tourbillon, is a modern version of a classic tilt-a-whirl that is sure to delight the young and young at heart. Building on its reputation as Quebec's leading destination for world-class thrills, La Ronde is taking entertainment to the next level with unique events all season long including Family Days, L'International des Feux Loto-Québec, Bavarian Weekends, the return of La Nuit Blanche and the ever-popular Fright Fest^®. The park will open its gates on May 19 at 10:30 a.m.

2018 season highlights include:

The launch of Tourbillon ? This contemporary version of the popular tilt-a-whirl ride will send riders spinning, twisting and rolling through a twirling adventure the entire family can enjoy.

Family Days ? La Ronde will celebrate families throughout the month of June and July:

• June 9: The biggest edition of Mascot Day, featuring a cast of 75 colourful characters;
• June 16: Celebrate Ribambelle's Birthday with her friends Théo and Fredo the magician;
• June 23: Grandparents Day will feature Ribambelle's new shows, Éducazoo and les Contes de Normanville; and
• July 25: Prevention and Security Day ? Guests can meet firefighters, paramedics and other prevention and safety professionals.

L'International des Feux Loto-Québec: The world's leading fireworks competition
Once again, the skies over Montreal will serve as the backdrop to one of the most spectacular fireworks events in the world. The 34^th edition of L'International des Feux Loto-Québec (IFLQ) is running from July 7 to August 8.

Bavarian Weekends
La Ronde will host its first-ever Bavarian Weekends on September 8 through 16. The event will take guests on a delicious journey to taste themed dishes inspired by German traditions.

The Return of La Nuit Blanche
The much beloved event is coming back after a 10-year hiatus. La Ronde will stay open late, until the early hours, on the night of September 21 to 22 to celebrate the beginning of fall. It's an all-night celebration for guests 18+, featuring famous DJs and Live performances. Most rides will be open to guests with the exception of the children's rides at Pays de Ribambelle. Season Passholders will receive an exclusive Passholder-only discount for this special event.

Fright Fest
La Ronde will celebrate Halloween for 9 days beginning October 6, including all weekends and Thanksgiving Day. The zombies, demons and vampires of Fright Fest are all preparing for the scariest Halloween event in the region.
