Notice to the Media - Environment and landscape architecture: Announcement of the Winner of Saint-Laurent's Biodiversity Corridor Competition

What?
Organized in collaboration with Ville de Montréal's Bureau du design, this multidisciplinary landscape architecture competition aims to provide the Borough of Saint-Laurent with a biodiversity corridor concerning a 450-hectare area. This competition was open to landscape architects, biology and ecology specialists, designers and other architects across Canada. This is the first time that a competition has been held for a biodiversity project in Québec.



When?

Thursday, April 26, 2018, 1 p.m. ? 2 p.m. (lunch will be served noon ? 1 p.m.)

Bibliothèque du Boisé, 2727 boulevard Thimens, Saint-Laurent



Who?:

- Alan DeSousa, Mayor of Saint-Laurent
- Louis-Charles Lasnier, jury representative, designer and professor at École de design de l'UQAM, as well as
- Several representatives of the winning team in the competition



Why?
For the past fifteen years or so, the Borough of Saint-Laurent has been at the forefront of innovation in terms of the environment and sustainable development. This corridor project therefore adds to the list of its achievements in this regard.
