Financial Education Benefits Center Protection Package Offers Assistance When Things Go Wrong Abroad and Online

SAN RAMON, Calif., March 15, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Exploring the internet and traveling the world can be as dangerous as it is exciting. But having protection in place online and in real life could be the ticket to happy travels. Financial Education Benefits Center (FEBC), a membership benefits company, offers a protection package to eligible members in order to make exploring the world or web a little less dangerous.

"With news of data breaches constantly in the headlines, it's easy to get nervous about keeping your information from getting into the wrong hands," said Jennifer Martinez, Manager at FEBC. "The same goes for something happening when you're far from home. The protection packages provided to FEBC members offer peace of mind."

Perhaps an unfortunate traveler sprains an ankle hiking up Machu Picchu or fractures a wrist snowboarding down the Matterhorn. Maybe someone is road-tripping across the country and gets a flat tire in the middle of nowhere?but has no spare.  Or, it's possible, during an online purchase, an identify thief swipes the shopper's credit card information and starts spending. While these are stressful events, they can be made less so by benefits featured in FEBC's protection package.

The benefits include a global travel assistance benefit, a roadside assistance benefit, and a subscription to the leading identity theft protection company, LifeLock. Depending on their plan level, FEBC users might have greater or more limited access to benefits or different types of LifeLock subscriptions.

"These benefits offer a variety of services that are meant to provide assistance for some of life's more complicated situations," said Martinez. "We encourage FEBC members to explore the world and, while we hope nothing goes wrong, know they have a benefits package designed to help."
