National DCP Chief Commercial Officer Roland Ornelas Named to Food Logistics' Champions: Rock Stars of the Supply Chain List


ATLANTA, March 15, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- National DCP (NDCP) Chief Commercial Officer Roland Ornelas has been named to the 2018 Food Logistics' Champions: Rock Stars of the Supply Chain. The Food Logistics' Champions: Rock Stars of the Supply Chain recognizes influential individuals in our industry whose achievements, hard work, and vision have shaped and attained milestones in safety, efficiency, productivity and innovation through the global food supply chain. From early pioneers and entrepreneurs to non-conformist thinkers and executive standouts, this award aims to honor these leaders and their contributions to our industry.

His focus on innovation and continuous improvement has allowed the company to save members more than $520 million cumulatively since NDCP was formed, while providing an assured supply of key products. In addition, he has been instrumental in the creation of program management, which maximizes efficiencies by overseeing the execution of limited-time offers between NDCP and Dunkin' Brands.

Throughout his career, Ornelas has transformed the sourcing and supply chain capabilities of significant players within the food and hospitality industries. Prior to joining NDCP, he served Vice President roles for both Wyndham Worldwide and O'Charley's Inc. Supply Chain. Roland also served as the Vice President of Strategic Sourcing for Carlson Companies, creating the successful strategy for all sourcing spend across their business unit, which included TGI Fridays, Radisson Hotels, Carlson Marketing Group, Carlson Wagonlit Travel and Pickup Stix restaurants. In addition, Ornelas held leadership roles with PepsiCo, YUM Brand's Supply Chain Cooperative (UFPC) and Havi Global Solutions. He recently was appointed to the Board of Directors of the National Coffee Association.
