Financial Education Benefits Center Supports Members With a Variety of Health and Financial Wellness Benefits

SAN RAMON, Calif., March 14, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Everyday life can get complicated and expensive. From medical costs and advice to financial questions and identity theft, it can all get overwhelming. Financial Education Benefits Center (FEBC) tries to make it all a little simpler by providing a variety of benefits to members in three different membership plans. The plans feature packages focusing on health and wellness, financial wellness, and protection.

"Every little thing requires some level of money or research and it can get exhausting keeping up with it all," said Jennifer Martinez, Manager at FEBC. "And when something happens and you need help, like roadside assistance or anything legal, it's nice to have resources at hand that may be able to assist."

It's insufficient to say merely that health is important. Good health helps parents effectively raise their children. It is a key factor for happiness and satisfaction for many. However, keeping up with health can be expensive, and those expenses can cause stress, which negatively affects health. FEBC members have access to a variety of health and wellness benefits.

The basic level membership offers unlimited (non-emergency) access to doctors by email and a network of work-life services as well as discounts on things like prescriptions, lab tests and medical imaging, and diabetic supplies. The more inclusive membership levels have all that plus pet care, alternative medicine, counseling, and vision benefits.

Finances can be complicated for individuals or families. FEBC's financial benefits, available to members in the most inclusive membership tier, include access to financial counselors. Also included in the package is a tax helpline and legal services, where members can call in to ask questions.

Every level of FEBC membership has access to LifeLock identity theft protection. The more inclusive membership levels also provide protection on the road and elsewhere. In addition to roadside assistance, members traveling more than 100 miles away from home may find value in the global travel assistance benefit, which offers help facilitating medical care in case of a medical emergency.

"Anything can happen in life, but when all these resources are in one place, it can be easier to handle it all," said Martinez. "We are proud that we can offer so many benefits covering so many different things to our members. We hope that whenever they need help with something, they will be able to turn to our benefits."
