Lynette Gray is recognized by Continental Who's Who


SAN JOSE, Calif., Feb. 19, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Lynette Gray is recognized by Continental Who's Who as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member in the field of Education and Workforce Services.                 

Ms. Gray's professional title is Associate Director at San José Evergreen Community College District ? Community College Center for Economic Mobility. Her expertise lies in the area of education and training grants management, facilitating education opportunities for under-served populations, and creating career pathway options in high-wage, high-growth, high demand industries.

Previously, Gray worked at Skyline College, Solano College, Insight Schools of California and Vallejo City Unified School District, also utilizing her expertise in secondary and post-secondary education.

"I have a passion for grant and project management, coordinating services for special populations, grant and proposal development, research, resource support, grant reporting and grant stewardship and sharing of best practices," Gray said of her work. "I provide positive instruction, direct support and guidance for students, of all ages, and especially for students with special needs." Gray earned her Bachelor's degree in Speech Communication Studies, with a minor in Women's Studies, from San Francisco State University in 1983. She later went on to complete a Master's degree in Education from Touro University ? California in 2011. In addition to her degrees, she holds a Certification in Transition to Employment ? for Special Population, from Touro University, and possesses a limited understanding of Turkish in addition to English.

In recognition of her contributions to the field, Gray was nominated as Intern Teacher of the Year by the Solano County Office of Education. She is also a member of Top Female Executive as well as the American Association of University Women.

When not working, Gray supports ALS and Alzheimer's research organizations. She also enjoys many kinds of music and art, and is an active skier, hiker and mountain biker. She also practices yoga on a regular basis.

Gray dedicates this recognition to the loving memory of her father, Robert G. Gray, and to her children, Nazim and Safiya.
